This Privacy Policy explains how Herpavilion collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and services, in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

• Account details — full name, email, phone number, WhatsApp number, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Real estate activity — land enquiries, inspection requests, saved lands, and any documents you upload.
• Cleaning activity — booking details, service addresses, preferred schedules, and quote requests.
• Payment records — invoice and payment history. We do not collect or store your full card number or bank login details.
• Communications — messages you send us via the contact form, enquiry forms, or reviews you submit.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: create and manage your account; respond to enquiries and process bookings; send booking, enquiry and payment notifications; assign agents or cleaning staff to your requests; improve our services; and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Who We Share It With

We share information only where necessary to deliver our services — for example, with the agent assigned to your land enquiry, or the staff assigned to your cleaning booking. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and transaction information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations (for example, retaining payment records for financial recordkeeping).

6. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including password hashing, encrypted database access controls, and role-based restrictions on who inside Herpavilion can view your data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

7. Your Rights

Under the NDPR, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your account, subject to records we're legally required to retain; and object to certain uses of your information. You can update most of your details directly from your account profile, or contact us to exercise these rights.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
